My husband has been in the Marines for 6 years and runs three times a week. Recently during running after about two miles, the outside of his left knee started hurting very badly and he said that it felt like he couldn't run anymore and he just had to stop running. It stoped hurting about 2 hours after he tried to walk it off and it didn't start hurting again until the next time he ran. If anyone knows any exercises or any treatment for this please we are all ears? Thank you

If he has flat feet, he might need a stronger shoe with better support, and if he doesn't have the flat feet, he might just need a heel cup in his shoe. I am not a doctor/nor can the problem be fixed on the internet. Perhaps he can see a podiatrist .

Just use RICE until he sees a Doc. Rest Ice Compression and Elevation. He sounds like he sprained it.
