Ok, wanted to ask people's opinion on this one. I know bodybuilders will workout twice in one day alot of times, once in the morning, another time in the afternoon/evening. My question is, do you think it is wise for me or other folks to do that occasionally?

Here's what I want to do, I missed a training day (legs) and wanted to do it the next day in the morning and then continue with my normal training day (arms/shoulders) in the late afternoon. Is this ok to do or could this lead to overtraining? Thanks

I wouldn't recommend it....just move your normal workout a day/to the next time u working out.....missing occassional workout is not too bad....just think of it as extra rest....just be sure to go intense during your workouts....

Btw many bodybuilders are able to work out twice a day because they take steroids....the key benefit of steroids is that they help your body recover faster....

Good point,......actually never thought about that :)

now what about abs?,......Can I still do abs everyday? (along with my other routine workout)

I read somewhere that ab muscles recover faster than other body parts.

if you use resistance when doing abs then no you can't do them everyday, if you don't and just use your body weight, as long as they don't hurt you should be good for once a day

abs are like any other body part....if you work them hard.....with resistance especially...then you don't need to do them more than once or twice a week....remember....your abs work in every faucet of life as well as in every single exercise you do to stabilize your body.....My abs burn after heavy romanian deadlifts for example because they work so hard during the exercise....

workign your abs everyday is counter productive.......3 times is maybe the most you want to work on them during the week...once a week is plenty....just use resistance and do 10-15 sets....
