I have lost 130 within the last year due to gastric by-pass surgery. I have been working out using The Firm fitness tapes and have increased the amount of walking I do each day. I have been told I will need a tummy tuck and have just had the breast reduction/lift. I'm tired of surgery! How much will I firm up through excercise? Will my legs/thighs, butt, and saddle bags ever firm up? Am I doomed to more surgery or sagging skin?
Thanks!

HP i am sorry to be the one to tell you this...but when you lose such huge amount of weight...surgery is probably the only real means to tighten your skin....I imagine there's a lot of loose skin just hanging there now.....muscle gains take a long long time....to expect lean muscle gains through exercise....realistically you can expect 1 lb of lean muscle to be gained every month.....so 12lb in a year....if you had lost the 130lb slowly without the surgery....maybe over 3-4 years....then you probably wouldn't need a surgery to tighten your skin because it would have the time to slowly adjust on its own...but now it probably has to be done.....I suggest you consult 2-3 doctors about this....to get a variety of opinions on this issue.
..if you went through the gastric bypass surgery then you realistically had to expect this....but just do it and get it over with....just think of this as one last obstacle to get over....good luck...
