Just wanting to see who else is in this nasty little desert country called Iraq, and who is trying to keep fit. Or, if anyone has been there and done that, got the stupid patch, I'd also like you to give a shout out. Maybe we could swap stories or brag on who's unit is better.
ALSO-Meals definitely aren't tailored to our needs, and I work night shift (biggest meal is breakfast) so I want to see if I can implement some changes. I'm only getting about 2,000 c/day and around 175g protein/day WITH a supplement powder. A breakfast 'steak' is prety much the main protein in my diet and I eat one/day. I am on my last tuna can, and will not get some for quite a while. I'd love advice from anyone that's been here or knows another READILY AVAILABLE alternative. Or if you've got a really good workout system or motivation. I just want to see if there's something I could improve on. Even if you're not military or ever been stuck in a place like this and have advice, send it! As always-Thanks!

HAH! If you truly want to, I'm not by any means against you not sending any! But also, I'm not asking for any handouts. Maybe we could make some sort of quid pro quo deal? What do you think? I really even appreciate
the offer, cause it's support either way. Which, by the way, thanks to
you and BB1Fit for the supportive posts. It's good to hear.
I can't say enough how this site has literally changed my life. You and
the other moderators are knowledgeable and positive-minded. You guys
freakin rock!

Tuna could make it to him =)
I find that the foil pkg's by Starkist are lighter and easier/cheaper to mail.

My husband's in Iraq with 3rd Battalion 4th Marines. I showed him this site a couple weeks ago an he joined. IMG47 , that's his "name" here, but he doesn't have alot of "down time" and so he's not very active online.. He has been buying protein supplements too, but complains of having the same dietary problems/needs that you have. He doesn't care for eating nuts, altho I have mailed those to him in the past

Good looking out, and definately the upmost respect and best wishes to you.

RandomGirl, give your husband an oorahh from a former Marine. I'm lucky enough to have internet at a very 'convenient' place where I work, but unlucky enough to be stuck in a Staff Head Quarters position. So the internet and the gym are like a desert oasis.
Carivan, if you want, I'm sure there's stuff over here I can get you, and I'd definitely appreiciate the protein supplements, no matter what form they're in! Salmon, Tuna or whatever! Iraqis seem to like goat and sweet tea more than protein. I'll take the tuna...
