Looking for some insight on equipment. I have two small children so I don't like to take time to go to a gym. I have been working out with a free weight rack that has cable for lats, rows etc. I'd like to be able to mix it up using a smith machine and dumbells etc. for isolation so am considering a purchase. I don't mind spending some bucks because I will not go to gym.
My problem is that I have only two fingers (index and thumb) on my right hand. This makes dumbells very dangerous for myself and anyone else nearby :surprised:. I have hooks that help my grip for all pulling exercises (rows, shrugs, etc.), but they don't work for flies, laterals etc. Smith machines are everywhere, but the only machine I've found to potential replace dumbells and allows alot of variation for me is the Nautilus NS-700. It is steep though. Here is the link:
Does anyone have any idea of how I can do dumbell exercises other than a machine like this. I don't really care about the press portion of the machine as I would rather have a free/smith rack.
The two fingers thing is annoying but I could have none.
