I am on the road most of the time. And I try to avoid the fitness rooms in hotels for safety reasons. I don't really want to take free weights in my suitcase - so my question is - to build muscle - is it better to do my own body weight resistant exercises (ie: pushups on the in room desk, dips on the chair) or should I buy those resistance bands that are easier to pack than weights.
What would show results better?
If it is resistance bands, any tips on purchasing them?

You can do more exercises with the bands and they provide more resistance than body weight alone....The bands are also in different levels/weight equivalents so you can better tune your workouts...
