Question -

I understand the whole athlete needs protein thing - I've been taking it and it seems to be working.

I also understand that whether or not a substantial amount of protein is really needed has been an item for debate for quite sometime.

Is there any definitive link (that holds some degree of credentials) that anyone can provide me that states this need in scientific terms?

I'm not looking to open the debate, I just would like to read a study, per se.

Much thanks!

"Nutrient Timing" by Ivy and Portman is a quick and short book that covers this.

Here is a link to the "Journal & Sports Medicine"

This is a recommended journal from ISSA.
