I have e-mailed this same exact post to asimmer, but I would also like to see what other people think- need all the help I can get!! This is kinda long, but I am at the point of needing guidance. I am 20, and have a daughter she is 16 mos. and the center of my world! My goal is to have someone look at me and say "What you have a kid??? No way!!!" I ate like a hog- no I ate even worse. I weighed 125 before I had her, and people were telling me then that I need to put some weight on my bones- wow how I miss that saying- I haven't heard it in a while!! When I left the hospital- 2 days after she was born- I weighed 208. I now weigh 150. I have lost a total of 58 lbs, and I did it the wrong way- I basically starved myself. Now I have all of this flab. Mostly on my stomach, I have this pouch of cellulite. I am disgusted with myself. I AM going to do something about it. I went to the doctor Monday to see if I could get a little "assistance". I have had a problem with energy and he prescribed Phentermine aka Adipex. This has really given me the energy I needed to start working out. Tuesday I started my diet, this is what I need help with. I have never had the problem of trying to loose weight- I had no idea how lucky I was. I love The Firm workout program- it keeps my interested and motivated- (probably because I havent ever really done anything else) and have been doing it for about 4 days now. I also put myself on a 1100 calorie diet. I used to run cross- country, I loved that when I was in shape but now it defeats me bacause I can't even run half a mile without stopping to breathe! I was needing someone to teach me exactly what I need to do to become lean- and I know what that means now thanks to your article- but muscular. I am at the point of no return. I am going to get the way I want to look no matter what- I am not giving up- period. Please help. Thank you so much!! (you can e-mail me if you would like):)

Stacy, I can't imagine getting better advice than from Amy. What did she suggest?

I JUST e-mailed her, so I am sure she has not had time to read it and e-mail me back. They seriously should give that guy an award!! :big_smile: How much easier can it get???

1100 calories isn't a whole lot for a 150lb female that is exercising

Pick an FT exercise routine that meets your needs and follow the nutritional guidelines that go with it. Then above all stick with it. They work.:dumbbell::cool::dumbbell:

I ran my weight and heighth and age and all of that in some program on the internet and it said to be on an 1100 calorie diet to loose weight. I am not too sure about anything I am doing- that is why I need help!!!

1100 cals may be your maintainance calories for your height. That means you should eat that much just to breath, sleep and sit on your butt. If you exercise you need more calories.
