Hi Friends,
I have plenty of advise for people who want to fall off the wagon. I've done it so many times, even Im getting sick of it. :) I promise to be a good girl from now on, no more family bars of chocolate just for me. No more cakes and cookies. I don't even know how to start appologising to myself but Im going to give it a good go, right here. Im going to the gym, in 5 minutes, but I wanted to come back here to pledge myself back with the program. I wont think of trying anymore, just doing. Talk is cheap! Ok, time to go kick my butt with some nasty cardio. Donna |

Very nice!
Don't rush it, and keep being persistant. That post is very inspiring for others. Remember, proper form with the weights. If you can't then they are too heavy. -------------- Still trying to find out how to do the Hollywood Free Press. Ivan carivan@freetrainers.com Montreal Canada |

Hey Ivan :)
Weelllll... I started out with a nice easy bike ride, warmed myself up a little. Then some stretches, then I did a two minute rotation on the boxing bag and exercise bike, a couple of minutes with the 1lb weights and some brisk walking. A little bit of skipping (dangerous with big breasts!). Two sets of multi sittups, working upper abs, side obliques and lower abs and some 2.5lb weights, some flys. Finished off with another ride and some wonderful stretches. Total workout of 1 hour and 15 minutes. Would love some feedback if you have time. Tomorrow Im going to do a bit of free weights. Ease myself back into it. Donna |

It is so good to see you back here, Donna, I have missed you as I am sure have others. Just keep working out, keep doing something and if you miss a day, don't drag it out into a month, just get back in there and keep going and be proud you did so!
I hope to hear lots more from you!! :) -------------- Veda MISERY IS OPTIONAL ***When you are up to your ears in trouble, try using the part that is not submerged. ***The difference between a dream and a goal is a plan. HAVE A GREAT DAY! |

Tankies people! It's been a couple of weeks since I've been on but Im still sticking with it. Only working out twice a week at the moment because of work and kids, so it's not doing me much good, but Im getting back into it any way I can. I keep making the same old excuse, "work is enough exercise". Silly hey, even though I can tell it's 'OBVIOUSLY' not! Any hoo... Im the only one who can do anything about it. So here's to making it work.

Remember, two days is better than NO days, though it would benefit you more to do more, your not standing still. I don't know about you, but work ISN'T enough exercise for me, the stress contributes to my bad eating behaviors and though I feel like I am burning the calories and I am sure I am some, it isn't building muscle and may very well be tearing it down when combined with bad eating. Try concentrating on your eating at ALL times, the hardest thing to do, I believe, because exercise actually feels good, gives you energy, while eating junk is so tasty, but the effects just work against all you do.
Hang in there, give yourself some goals and stick to them, you are strong and you are a wonderful, interesting person - you deserve good health!! -------------- Veda MISERY IS OPTIONAL ***When you are up to your ears in trouble, try using the part that is not submerged. ***The difference between a dream and a goal is a plan. Keep up the routine. Like Veda said, 2x a week is better than 0 times. Looks like your getting serious about your self.
Again, keep us posted.:) and your doing good. -------------- Scales are for dead weight: We are not dead yet! Still trying to find out how to do the Hollywood Free Press. Ivan carivan@freetrainers.com Montreal Canada |

I have a love hate relationship with the gym but for me nothing else has ever worked and I like the payoff. AT 50 I am firm, my cholesterol is normal, I am energetic, at a good weight etc... Just concentrate on your victories and the payoffs. All good things in life take work. There really is not something for nothing. You go girl..

You are an excellent role model, rickyshot! I am 43 and many times in the past found myself thinking "whats the point" and who cares if I am chubby and frumpy, many grandma's are (though many are not!). It has been that way since the beginning of tv, young is in, older is out and it is hard at times to yank yourself out of that stereotype. I want to be healthy to live longer, to feel better, to laugh harder - for ME! We inadvertantly keep so much from ourselves when we give in to the food and lack of exercise. I want what you have and I hope to be there soon, thank you for your posts it is always good to hear from you! -------------- Veda MISERY IS OPTIONAL ***When you are up to your ears in trouble, try using the part that is not submerged. ***The difference between a dream and a goal is a plan.
