I am 40,f,195 lbs... i was 170lbs for 7 years with no change until i tried the atkins diet for 3 days and since then i've been gaining pound after pound. i'm now at 195 and am getting sick of looking at myself... i am a very picky eater... when you say "chicken"... i want chicken..not chicken with a bunch of sauces and crap all over it or stuffed in it.. just plain ole fried or baked chicken!.. i have only a few foods that i like/eat... all are bad! pinto beans, bacon, sausage, fried/boiled eggs, pork chops, pork roast, chicken thighs, pork fritters, banquet turkey dinners, hot dogs, white bread, potato chips, mashed/fried potatoes, cole slaw, tomatoes, carrots, corn, peaches, fruit cocktail,.. that's about the only foods that i eat. i don't like cheese, i don't like speghetti, i don't like chili, i don't like steak, i don't like chicken and noodles or any kind of pasta, i don't like any of the "normal" foods that "normal" people love. trying to find a diet that includes any of the foods that i eat is impossible! is there anyone out there that knows of a way to lose weight by eating this kind of stuff, but just mixing and matching them so that it balances out and helps me lose weight?

Check out the Grocery list for bodybuilders on the site. There should be enough items on there for you to eat.

You just need to figure out your caloric needs and then base your meals on the above foods (I deleted things that probably won't do you any good).
Example:
Breakfast - Boiled egg and 4 egg whites, peach slices (fresh or no added sugar canned), light wheat bread (better than white but maybe more palatable than a heavy wheat, once you get used to that you could venture to whole wheat or whole grain bread).
Snack - 1c coleslaw, small baked chicken breast
Lunch - 1/2c pinto beans, sliced tomato with light dressing, carrot sticks, chicken breast or pork roast
snack - chicken and coleslaw or any of the above
Dinner - mashed potatoes (make with chicken broth instead of butter/milk), baked chickebn breast or pork roast, sliced tomato
You aren't going to get a great nutrient intake from such a limited list of foods, but your palate shoudl change as you eat healthier and you will probably like a wider variety vegetables and grains.

LOL Annie! Assimer, you're a saint. Onemoretry, it won't happen if you don't want it or don't work at it. It's not magic. Assimer printed an awesome sticky called "kick in the pants" on the previous page. Check it out and good luck!
