I have been gaining weight like crazy for next years football season, i weighted 145 at the end of this year, i now weighgt 157, my goal is 165 by next year, and i have lost some of my speed because i've put on more fat than muscle. I need help any advise, i am planning on using weight gainer and doing cardio maybe twice a week.....?? and advise will help Here is my weight Training Scheme:
Monday/Thursday:
Power Cleans 5x5 with 115lbs
Shoulder Shrugs 5x5 135 lbs
Stiff legged deadlift 5x5 135 lbs
Squats 2x5 135, 2x5 155, 2x5 205
calf raises 3x10 155 lbs
Tuesday/Friday
Power snatches 5x5 115 lbs
Bench 2x8 135, 1x6 155, 4x3 185
Incline 2x6 115, 2x4 135
Military press 2x6 65, 2x4 80
I want to gain as much as muslce mass as possible any advice is helpful

The main thing that I have to say is WATCH YOUR DIET. Just because you want to gain weight, does not mean you can eat whatever you want. Doing this you will just put on fat, as you have realized, and this is more dtrimental to what you want, than it is beneficial. Fat will make less fit and you still want to keep your speed and endurance even though you want more weight. I would not recommend getting the weight gainer because this more than likely will just add fat. Look at the post Bodybuilders Grocery List in the Specific diet thread, adn choose your foods from there.

I'd get rid of the shrugs........not doing much, plus the cleans will work the traps pretty well. Shrugs ar emore for body building.....
look at the powerlifting thred.......go to west side template...........at the top of the forum.......good stuff trust me
