I'll keep it short. Last night I went out for Veitnamese food and it gave me food poisoning. I had a rough night last night and dismorning isn't much better. Layed in bed for nearly six hours already, hardly able to move.

The thought of eating anything is doing a number on my stomach, not to mention I am so weak I don't think I could cook anything right now.

What should I do? This is going to be murder on my metabolism, but I am worried that if I eat anything I am just going to throw up again.

Rest and try to get some fluids in, your body needs to recover.

When you do decide to eat, eat something bland and easy to digest.

Doctors used to say give sick stomachs the BRAT diet
Bananas, Rice, Apple sauce, Toast .

I hope you feel better soon! i have had food poisoning and i know it sucks big time!

If you can't keep anything down by the middle of the day, you may want to see a doctor and be sure you don't need anti-biotics or something.

Also avoid dairy for a few days - you can get temporary lactose intolerance after food poisoning.

I am doing a lot better today.

Spent almost all of yesterday sleeping (at least 16 hours) and managed to eat a small meal consisting of a spinach salad, a potato and whey. I kept it down without much trouble.

Now I just have a wicked headache but this will probably pass in a few hours. A couple people mentioned that I may have had a 24 hours flu, but I am still sure it was the food.

@Hec: Yeah, you can bet I am not ever eating vietnamese food ever again.
