Today I had my back workout and I must say that I find the back to be one of the hardest and most complicated muscles to workout. I find it hard to find the proper way to do any kind of row and pulldowns. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice. I was thinking about having one of the trainers help me out next time.

You may want to reduce the weight and concentrate on form. Your profile says you started lifting in the last 6 months. Being fairly new to it form makes a big difference. Get the for right before you add weight...on all lifts. There are illustrations with the FT exercises as well as descriptions.
You may want to have a floor person show you the proper form.
One way to keep good form is have a buddy point his finger (Touching) on your spine, and when you do the contraction, try and feel the finger with your back muscles. That would give you proper motion. Hope this makes sense to you?
