Okay, so with my recent back injury my doctor said it might be good for me to get a "deep tissue" massage to help with the healing process. I set up an appointment with a guy and go yesterday. First of all, he looked like REM singer Michael Stipe (in the 80's). I had no problem with that, it just took me back a bit. Anyway, after about 20 minutes he stopped and said, "This isn't doing you any good. Your body's not responding. I was standing on your hamstring and it wouldn't give in. You are the tightest person I have ever seen." So, I know my job is stressful, but this shocked me. He gave me the money back and said I might not respond to massage at all. Anyone else ever have this happen?

I have been told that my hamstrings were tight but I have never been given a refund. I dont know whether to be sorry or to congratulate you. My advice would be to find another massage therapist and see if they can work it out.

Find another therapist. The quality of your masuse can make a huge difference. I have a hard time trusting the opinion of someone who quits after 20 minutes... at least you got your money back.

Wow, that is something! I agree with the others, see if someone else can help you, but it was certainly nice that you were given a refund and honesty, that is always refreshing!
