Am I supposed to lose all my body fat before I start lifting to build my muscles? Or do I only lose as much as I feel is healthy and then start building muscles-or do I just incorporate lifting with my cardio and hope everythig works out ok?

mbrown, building muscle will help you to burn calories faster. Thats the reason to go ahead and start lifting. Are you using an FT plan along with the nutritional guidelines??

I am pretty new so far and haven't checked out all the details of the sight. At this point, I am cutting calories and doing cardio. Down 16 lbs, but still a lil flabby! My problem is that I don't know how to lift, I don't know the right way, I get bored easily and ...well there is no and, thats it. :)

Are you a member at a gym? If so get someone to show you how to lift weights properly.
Until you start lifting weights you will always be "a lil flabby" - it is by putting on muscle that your body becomes firm.
good luck

I am a member at my local recreation center, which has all of the things a fitness center has, minus the people that really know what they are doing.

Can't help with the boredom. The reason I asked if you were using an FT workout is that it lays out an exercise program and nutritional guide to go with it. There is a description as well as photo's on how to do each exercise. My wife needed a little coaching from me at first but she picked up her routines very easily from the info right here.
