So my BMR is 1730, I'm trying to lose weight, and currently i take in about 1500 calories a day and usually burn around 150-200 in the gym. How many pounds a week will I be losing going like this? Thanks for your help :)

Well from the info given, you're burning 3010 calories/week, which is a little under a pound a week. However, you burn more than your BMR with normal, non-workout activies (everything from walking to breathing to chewing to thinking). Plus, working out in the gym usually has some sort of after-burn (increased metabolism PWO.) Assuming you're only lightly active besides your workout, I'd guess around 1.6 pounds/week. But keep in mind there are a ton of variables like thermic effects from food, intensity of the exercise you're doing, and so on.

If your BMR is 1750 and you're eating 1500 cals per day, your body is likely to hold onto fat and burn some muscle as well. Your weight loss will be relatively small and what you do lose will be the part you want to keep.

So should I be eating 1750 and try and burn around 200 in the gym? Also I suppose I want the 1750 to be mostly calories from protein not carbs or fat? Thanks for all your help guys.
PS. Yeah deadheadted I'm lightly active apart from my work out.
