I was wondering what I can do to make my stomach thinner. When I see myself in the mirror from the side, my stomach area seems to be kind of thick. I have very little fat, as I can see the top two rows of my abbs. The more I work out the more my stomach seems to be getting thicker. Is it possible that i am overtraining my abs or is there exercises that will hold my stomach in?

Bend over so your torso's at about a 45 degree angle to the floor, and see how much fat you have hanging off your stomach. I'm guessing you still have a fair amount, which can make it appear like you have thick ab muscles when standing up. If you can only see the top two "packs", you're probably still above 15% BF.

"fair amount of fat" I believe he means enough to cover your abs.
Vaccums are done sitting/standing and sucking in your abs as deep as you can and holding for 6-10 seconds.

easiest way, is to get on your hands and knees, and suck your stomach in and "try to touch your back" with it, hold for about 10 secs, rest repeat couple times.

When you work out do you suck in, or push out. I used to( somtimes i still do) especially on squats take a dep deep breath, the extra adominal pressure, helps keep me striaght, only prob is it stretches that adominal wall( I think) and causes things to push out. SOme peopel also do this on leg press. You can take a deep breath but contract your abbs. Don't vaccum but hold it good enough as to try and stop a punch.

Chances are good you have a bit more fat than you believe. You probably have some visceral as well as subcataneous fat. This is more the reason. You cannot spot reduce it with any of the stuff mentioned. Forget about any fancy exercises, this will not do it. Look to your diet, keep training. It will go away. In many folks, this is the last vestige where fat holds on, and your stomach area looks fat even though the rest of you is very lean, and even being able to see a "4 pack".
