I need to be able to run 1.5 miles in about 10 minutes. It took me 1:47 to run 1/4 of a mile, and each lap would get longer. I find I have trouble breathing while running long distances, I have always been like this. I am 18 years old. I am very strong physically, but running is my downfall. What is the best way to build up running indurance? I need to be able to reach this goal in less than a month. Thank you :)

Try running distance at first..... run about 3 miles at a medium pace that doesn't kill you... Then the next day go down to 2.5 miles... and then down to 2 miles the next..... then try your 1.5 miler.... run it... the first day for a trial time... and then run it for "real" time then next day.
