(I do not have this problem on any machine just running):(

If there is no relevant medical probeln and you don't smoke the breathing will come. What you are doing is great. It is actually a form of intervals and eventually you will be running 3 laps. Keep up the good work.

I have a quick question. I use to love to run but my knees really bother me. Should I try and do a little at a time? Maybe stay off the pavement. I'm 33 and 35lbs. over weight. Thanks

If your knees really bother you, you should stop running. The impact/shock is not going to get better even if you change surfaces. You should try using the elipticle machine (crosstrainer) which your feet never leave the surface, and will also burn more calories.

I found that a good pair of shoes helped my knees and legs out a bunch. My leg use to get really sore for a few days after I ran then I bought a good pair of running shoes and I have no problem now.

just 2 ask at what speed do u guys run when on the treadmill? just i went 2 the gym 2day had a great time, feel knackered but good, and just wanted an idea at the speed pple run on average.
This is nothing 2 do with running but how long should i spend doing cardio compared 2 weights if i wanted 2 gain weight, i'm
18
- 6ft 3
- 154 pounds
oh and do any of u think its best 2 do cardio then weights,
thankyou,
matt

cardio should never precede weights. there's been a post on here before about this. ideally cardio should be on separate days or at least 6 hours after your work-out. another solution is to do cardio after your weights but only for 20-40 mins max. re running on the treadmill, don't get too bothered about your speed. when your on a treadmill it's actually doing most of the work - you're just jumping in the air! try searching for HIT or HIIT (high intensity training or high intensity interval training, both the same). you can do shorter times of HIT but it's more effective than cardio. good luck
