Members,

My name is Sheldon. I am a 29 year old male, and in serious need of some help.

For most of my life I have been really slender. I have trouble putting on weight. I am 5'10" and currently I am 145lbs. I think for my height I should weigh in at about 175lbs. Now, the thing is this. If I look at myself, I see a great toned body. I have been told despite my slenderness, I have a awesome bone structure. I have broad shoulders, great body tone, but I am toooooo skinny. I need to put on weight. I need some really serious, open, honest, no BS advice as to how I can make this happen.

I am currently taking creatine, once a day with some whey protein. I don't have access to a large gym, so home excercises will have to do. I just want to pack on some pounds, the healthy way. Please ADVISE!!

Skinny for now!

you need to eat lots of calories in order to gain muscle. Lift heavy weights with low reps. Eat lots of protein for you it would be 145 grams of protein since that's your weight. you also need to eat a lot of carbs. Try putting in your information on the nutritional program in this site. It's pretty accurate. Good luck on gaining the muscle gain!

Welcome to FT.

If you complete your exercise profile you can get an exercise program and there is an option to specify what equipment(if any) you have available, so a home workout is possible

It sounds like you have the right attitude, I'm sure you will do well :)

I hope u got barbell at home, because there's no better way to put on mass than with squat, bench, deadlifts, cleans, curls, etc.;..esp first 3...learn them and learn to love them, if you want to put on mass...fastest way possible...also lift 6-8 reps per set where 6-8 is the most u can do...if u can do 9, increase weight....and ofcourse u need to push urself...doing 8 reps when u can really do 20...is not...try to slowly increase your daily calories by maybe 100-300 calories , getting about 1-1.5 grams of protein per bodyweight...this way u will start to gainw eight slowly with less fat...hope this has been helpful good luck
