I just finished my bulking cycle and want to get a lil ripped.

while bulking i was taking
1 glass milk+ protein powder + 1 cup cotage cheese + peanut butter sometimes i ate some yogurt too.

i know you need to avoid all cabrs before bed, specially whilke cutting.
but i understand milk and yogurt carbs are low GI.
one glass of milk = 15g carbs
1 yogurt = 9g carbs.

should i avoid this carbs now that i am cutting or can ia continue drinking my protein shake with milk before bed, instead of water (yuk..)?

thx, peace

Have your protein shake with milk, as you go deeper into your cut, you may want to switch to something like an eggwhite omlette with lots of omlette veggies, and some flax meal or flax oil.

Milk, cottage cheese, etc. have a low GI because of the casein protein (very slow to digest) found in them - the lactose itself isn't a slow digesting carb.

Some carbs are inevitable in your bedtime meal. For example, on a cut I usually have 1 cup cottage cheese and 1.5 tbsps natty PB. That's 15 grams of carbs, most in the form of milk sugars. But because of the protein and fat, I don't have much of an insulin response, so there's no need to worry about fat storage.

You definetely want to mix your whey with milk before bed, due to how rapidly whey protein is absorbed when mixed only with water. I'd cut the yogurt out for sure, though, due to the added sugars and relative lack of nutritonal value. If you think you need more calories, just add more cottage cheese.
