5 weeks ago when I started using this program, I was sore alot the day after the workout. But now, with about double the weight, I am not sore at all, usually, even when I feel just as strained after the workout. Is this normal?

It's called adaptation, which means your body is used to what you've been doing and is nearing a plateau, if it hasn't hit it yet. It also means that you're body is better conditioned than it was 5 weeks ago. Congrats. What program are you on and how else have you changed up your program, besides increasing weight?

What is described is essentually what happens to everyone who continues to work out. Keep in mind you want to be a little sore the next day. You should try to do the little things differently, like changing from a narrow to wide grip and vice versa. Increase the number of sets, go slower on the negative movements, at the end of the positive movement flex out the muscle being worked.
