Hey, you can come to our Monday check in where we tell our woes of the week and also share our good experiences! It is nice as it helps keep us a bit more accountable as others need our support as much as we do! Hope to see you both there! And don't worry if you get busy as most of us do and miss Monday, just check it when your on next, it is never to late to post to the Monday check in, we just try to keep it Monday so we can have a weekly goal of sorts!

Hi all, I've been mainly "lurking", but thought it was time to "come out of the closet" so to speak. I also have about 140 pounds to lose. I started working out seriously,:dumbbell: at a gym about 4 weeks ago and use a PT twice a week. (They show no mercy!) :surprised: I started out at 290 and have lost 8 pounds. The issue I was having is, for the first 2 weeks, I didn't lose, I gained! I was ready to give up until I realized, hey, my close are feeling looser! :) My biggest problem is what to eat, when to eat and the portions. During the day while I'm at work I can control my portions and eat when I am supposed to (It's kind of difficult because my work day starts at 5:00 Am! I have been tracking my foods at Fitday because it's a bit easeir than keeping track here. My average caloric intake for a day is usually around 1200 - 1500 cals. The problem is I have a hard time getting in more protein than anything else. I don't follow a specific diet, like The Zone or Atkins. I try to eat only complex carbs and cut down on fats. In eating 5 meals a day, what is the breakdown? How many hours between meals do you let pass? How many calories should a person intake at each meal? Would appreciate any help, I am getting married in March 2005, and I really would rather NOT waddle down the aisle!!
Thanks in advance!
