Today I was in the gym, doing legs I did front squats then dls......then I did a superset of deep stiff dls and one legged leg press.
No one was there so I figured might as well,I wa son my 2nd time around, I got off the machine to whipe my sweat off my face, and some guy just runs over throws his towel down and starts taking my weights off, I kindly removed my head phones, and told him I wasn't quite done yet, he gave me a evil glare but went away. I added my new weight to it and went to do my last set on stiff dls, as I was doing them, he ran up behind me, and added his weight to it, and jumped on it, I told him I was supper setting, and that i was using that after that set....he said," Wel your using that that" and jumped in the leg press, and started doing lil sissy reps( not going al the way down)......I was so f'ing mad!I almost took off a 45 and threw it on his lap! BUt i was nice, let it go, he was done after liek 10 reps.
He's one of those "random" guys, doe sset of curls, set bench, set leg press call it a work out.

ugh, i hate that. that happens to me a lot when i'm supersetting, although i'm too non-confrontational for my own good and i never say anything. what i like best is when someone sees you going back and forth, and takes your equipment anyway.
once i was doing dips behind the back superset with incline db press. the bench i was using as my base is the only bench in the gym with something close enough to put your feet upon while doing dips. my towel was still on the bench and a pair of uneccesarily loud men came, looked at my stuff, and then proceeded to use the bench, whilst talking loud enough for the entire gym to hear them. but did i say anything? no. but the look i gave them when i got my towel was pretty good
i'm sorry that this :expletive deleted: broke up your workout. that is SO FRUSTRATING!

Well, playing devil's advocate here and seeing as how I work at 2 gym's I see this quite a bit. I see how it can be VERY annoying to have this happen and I get irked when someone tries to jack with my workout, BUT, that guy has every right to be at the gym just like you do. AND you did the smart thing and let it go, I mean, is it really worth a minute of your life to worry about something like this, it's quite unhealthy after all.

YEs he has a right to be there, however he never asked if I was done, or ask to work in with me......I always let peopel work in with me, not a big deal to me. BUt I took 3 steps away and he jumped on it, knowing i just added more weight for the next set. Thats what pissed me off.

I hate when that happens although most people at my gym are pretty nice and understanding to each other. I would be pissed off though if I were in Andrews situation

andrew I usually try to have a sense of humor about such things...just think about the entertainment he provided with his sissy weights...I love people who try to show you up and end up being complete morons...look at it this way...morons have a tendency to bring you to their level and beat you with experience...so it's good that you let it go...but yea, in my gym similar to what Dx said...what cracks me up sometimes is people who try to prove that they are just as strong as u, and start doing what i call...holding the weight up...can't even call what they sometimes do as squats or especially bench press...in other words ::::breath in, breath out, and forget that this A*hole even exists...works for me...:)

err...similar to Dx's gym, most people in my gym are considerate and generally very nice...*....i am so dyslexic...always leave out a thought out two..lol
