i have a pulled groin and don't want to quit lifting completely. i know this is a little on the stupid side, but when i tore my hamstring a few years ago i wore compression shorts after it started healing a little bit so i could keep playing soccer. if i rest it for a week and wear some kind of compression wrap when i lift, would it be safer for me to go back to doing deadlifts and squats?

If you did it light and made sure you warmed up and stretched alot, I don't think it would hurt it too bad, I know you hate lifting light lol. If it bothers it too much, then don't do it.
do some leg extensions instead

Do not stretch an injured groin for it will get worse. Try narrow stance squats. Ride bike for 10 minutes as your warm-up and then try the bar. Do sets of 5 on the squat and work up to a weight that feels good. When your groin starts to feel better get some work on a multi hip working on adduction. Do sets of 20 to pump some blood in there.
