Various general exercise related discussions. Find out what it takes to reach your fitness goals through daily effective exercise. With so many options we try to find out what works best.
My first question pertains to the methods prescribed by this website. When they state a goal for my calorie intake - how does my exercising affect that? If I burn 250 calories, does that mean I should eat 250 calories to stay on track?
Also - with the sets. The repititions start generally like this:
15
12
10
8
Should I be lifting to failure each set?
Thanks,

Hey phattie and welcome to FT.
As for your caloric intake it depends on your goals fat or muscle gain. Here is a previous post on figuring out caloric intake.

Yes lift to failure on your reps, don't forget to increase the weight every couple of weeks even if you can't do the desired rep amount, don't load too much weight on though. Good Luck
