i binged today because i was angry at the scale i have been doing everything right from food to excercise, then i weighed myself and it said i gained 4 pounds. i know that could possibly be muscle but it still hurts. i plan on wotking out tonight though to get some retribution, but i still feel terrible!

get a measuring tape..get your old jeans that you want to fit back into and then, get a huge mirror. Listen to your body not to the scale. Those should be your measure for progress :)

and one thing I learned, is that I don't binge when I get mad, or depressed. I get even, either train hard the next day or work my ass off in the office lol. But I'm weird so :P

never feel ashamed because of such a reason

don't live and die by the scale. Like cupcake said take measurements and take a look in the mirror. Don't weigh yourself everyday try once a week on the same day at the same time preferrably in the morning. those 4lbs. could have been water weight.

Shene, take that anger and take it to the gym next time...NOT THE KITCHEN! And try to remember that your weight fluctuates greatly during the day and with the rise and fall of your hormones every month.

I understand the struggles of disappointment...especially when dealing with a scale. Going with the clothing and measuring tape that has been reccommended is a good idea and you should try it.

Don't feel ashamed, feel motivated not to let this happen again!

If it is a 4 lb. fluctuation in one day, this simply cannot happen in realtity. Take into consideration water weight, etc. If every calorie we ever ate went to fat, we would all be in serious trouble. Rest your mind at ease, do as the others say, don't live by the scale. Dfly411 gives you some excellent and right on advice! Stay the course, keep your goals in front of you, you know if you are doing things correctly or not. If you are, you will see the results you desire.
