How long should it take you to do one session with the FT program? I need to get it down to 30-45 minutes if possible. The first couple of sessions have taken a long time because I'm still getting familiar with the equipment.

It all depends on the type of program and the frequency you go to the gym.
As an example, if one goes to the gym, with a 5 day program you will be out of there within an hour. If you are on a 3 day, you might be in there for 90 min. Once you get used to the equipment, taht will speed things up also. I am also including cardio with those examples. But like I said, it all all depends on the program and your goals.

Thanks for your response. Everyone has been very helpful on the boards so far. I'm just going by the weight loss/definition program. I'm getting a treadmill so I can do my cardio at home. I only get an hour for lunch so that's what I'm going to have to squeeze it into. As long as I don't spread the exercises too far apart I think I'll make it. I'm on the 3day program by the way. So I just need to get the actual weight lifting exercises down to 45 minutes.

You can also spend less time between reps and exercises, that is another way to cut back.

depending how hard you work out, i read some where that it is bad for your muscles to lift wieghts for more than 90 minutes at a time. i used to be in the gym for 2 hours, i recently speed up the workout to an hour to an hour and 20 minutes. it all depends.
