Nobody started the Monday Morning Goal message and I was going to get in on it this week. So I guess I will, my goals for the week are going to the gym 3 - 4 times, doing cardio and resistance training AND walk for 30 minutes during lunch at least 3 times. Now that my husband is COMPLETELY retired, he has agreed to go to the gym with me at least 3 times every week so that will help my motivation a lot. Also, I think I have finally convinced him that I HAVE to lose 70 pounds (he thinks I am fine just the way I am) because I am not happy with myself and I want to be able to buy clothes that fit even if they are on sale!!!!

Well last week went alright- did good in the working out department, but not as great with watching what I ate. I ate healthy for the most part, but over the weekend had a typical college feast: pizza and beer. Never realized how much alcohol affected my weight- it has an almost immediate affect on me. So no more!! No pizza, no alcohol, no fast food! I filled my fridge up with healthy food so I need to stick to that.

I started my weight loss program last week. This past weekend I landed on a good program and started full force. This week my goal is to walk every day either inside or outside and perform all the exercises on my FT exercise plan. I weigh myself on Mondays...9lb lost, 26lb to go. Then of course I will only have 100lbs left.

Nelson_c, I just read your profile. My husband (of 27 years) just retired from the Army National Guard with 24 years of service. We went an activation on Sunday in Ft. Worth, Texas (last place he was stationed), and they just had one here in Houston, Texas also. My prayers will be with your son. Good luck with your weight loss, sounds like you are off to a really good start.

No junk food, processed food at minimum. I'm stepping up my strength training (more weight, more reps) and keeping up with cardio: 4 times this week bare minimum. Please, please, please can I be pretty yet? Hehe.

Hoping to work off all the anniversary food I ate yesterday, along with that delicious fruity mixed drink, and celebretory champagne we all know I shouldn't have had!! However, yesterday we did spend 4 hours at the zoo walking almost constantly, so I think I may break even on this one. Truly though, goals this week are to hit the tredmill 2x, and start adding in my weightlifting 1 or 2x this week as well!

Thanks for starting the thread, my monday went directly into tuesday before I had a chance to think. My goals was to find a gym - well, guess what, the gym that was there, that I was so excited to join -- it is no longer open!! So, I guess I will have to buy more equipment and work out at home more...I was looking forward to working out and learning more, hoping the motivation would be going to the gym with my 14 yo, too. Oh well, time to find more motivation elsewhere!
