I recently switched from running the track to using the treadmill. All the shiny numbers and blinking things on the machine keep my focus off the fact that I'm running, and somehow it seems to be easier to run the same distance that would have sucked had I ran the track. The problem is I am really dizzy and lightheaded when I step off the machine. I'm only running 2 miles in about 16 mins, then 2-min cool down. Is my breathing screwed up or something? I didn't experience this when I ran on the track. Thanks for any solutions.

Try doing more than a 2 min cool down, bring yourself down slowly to a slow walking speed. Change intervals every minute. Whenever I run on a treadmill I put it on 2% incline to make up for no wind resistance, as there would be on a track.
