Hello again all you lovely people!!!

Just starting this week's thread before I run out for a swim! I couldn't exercise all last week and am still in a lot of pain due to that same muscle around my lungs , but I am going to attempt some light pool exercises and maybe some legs, it seems nearly impossible to exercise with this damage as everything pulls at it, but I will attempt to do so with careful accord!!

I hope you are all doing well today, it is bright and beautiful in Tennessee this morning!!

My 18 yo is at work, my 14 yo is at a friends, my dh is at work and I have the next two days to myself, well, besides my worrying about the 14 yo while he is visiting! So, I am going to take advantage of this quiet time that I rarely get! I no sooner typed that and our indoor dogs started whining to go outside again!! Ahhhh....well.

Well, I'll check some more messages and then off to work out!

Good Morning everyone!! Well, the first three days of this week, I am running the company I work for on my own, as the boss is on a mini vacation. There is going to be lots of stress, but I am hoping to get up earlier than normal and hit the tredmill 4 times this week to help relieve some of that work related tension. On a happy note, Saturday I found out that BurgerVille makes milkshakes with a product called YoCream(fat free frozen yogurt) I haven't had a milkshake in over 2 years due to my gallstones, so when I found this out I BOUGHT ONE AND IT WAS GOOD!!!!!! Now I have another option besides a Frappuccinno for my weekend treat!! Yay!!! Hope everyon is doing good!!

I know that this is a weekly thing, but I am so excited because this is the one month mark for me! I am happy to report that I did 17 hours of cardio last month, lost 8 pounds, and lost 7.5 inches! I thank God for this site and the the will power to stick with it. This is the longest I have ever stuck with anything. You all (especially Prariegirl and you Veda) are the best support that I have ever recieved. It is funny how we all can be so many miles apart, but when it comes to needing motivation or a cybershoulder to lean on, the people on this site are always there. For me, you are the only ones who think that I can suceed (which is very sad that I have let myself and those around me down so many times).
THANK YOU ALL!!!!

Good job heather- you're off to an awesome start! Just let that carry you for the rest of your journey! glad to hear everyone is rarin' to go this week. It's always good to start the month off right and get those workouts in. This week I plan to go to the gym 5 times. I'm stuck on overnights the entire week so that makes it all that much harder to get to the gym, but I've found that post-it notes all over the apartment make for good motivation. I hope everyone has a good week!

Heather, A great start & it's my first month as well. I'm finally seeing slight results as well. Half an inch off waist & 3lbs lost. Thought I'd never see a difference but this has helped boost the old morale. It's important to make time to look after ourselves so hang in there & you'll get to your goal. Do what you can Veda & what is comfortable and Christabelle it's good to fit in this as your stress buster - allow yourself some winding down time as well. Kaia - I'm sure you won't forget to go to the gym now! Keep up the hard work folks & I'm sure we'll see it pay off in the long run.

Good job Heather. 7.5 inches is alot. I know someone told me on this forum before - but I can't remember how many inches you have to lose to drop a dress size.

I walked to work this morning (2.5 miles) and am just sitting here typing trying to bring my body temp down. Ughhhh it's hot.

I spend the weekend camping, but it was either screaming hot, or raining so I didn't get as much activity in as I would have liked.

I need to measure myself this week to see if i've changed in the last few weeks.

Well, so far this week has not been good. I haven't done anything all week except work, and be at the hospital because my sister in law had her baby. Tomorrow I should be able to go to work at my normal time, and will be able to walk, and I am planning on walking Saturday before I go tanning, but I need you all to send some good thoughts my way, otherwise I just might scrap this whole week. :surprised:

Hey CB. Why do we always start fresh on Monday. I've been thinking about that this week. Why do we always say "I'll start on Monday". How many times have we failed when we started a new diet, new exercise routine etc on Monday. Maybe if we started on Friday, we'd have a better chance of making it the whole week.

I've been thinking about going back on the South Beach Diet (or my version of it anyway). I was going to start on Monday. But maybe I'll start on Saturday instead.

I walked my 5 miles yesterday (too and from work) and walked to work this morning so I'll get the 5 miles in today too because I have to get home afterall.

Have a good weekend everyone.
