Calories too low?

2004/07/26, 07:57 PM
Hello Everyone!
I am trying to lose about 30 lbs and I was wondering if 1300 calories is too low for me. I am a female, 5'6, with a medium build. I currently weigh 165lbs,have 30% body fat, and my rmr is around 1380 ( according to a body gem test at Bally's). I weight train twice a week (full body) and do 40-50 minutes on the elliptical trainer 4 days a week. Keep in mind that I have a desk job, so I am physically inacive outside of my time at the gym. I would like to lose atleast 2lbs a week. I am araid to eat too much.

You would actually need around 2500 calories per day, by eating 4-5 ssmall meals. With 1300 calories you will start getting really tired and no energy. Your exercise routine is great, but thats only 50% of your healthy lifestyle, the other 50% is proper eating. Incorporate more protein, and good carbs to get your intake higher.
Hope this helps.
