Knee Injury-No squats

I don't know how I injured my knee or what the specifics of the injury are, just that it hurts like hell most of the time....thinking it might be arthrofibrosis...but enough of the amateur diagnosis...I'm getting it checked out. Anyway, any idea of a good replacement exercise, since squats are definitely out.

well...the squats are about the most effective compound exercise one can do for the glutes/quads and hams. I think you can try most of the isolation exercises without straining your knee. You can probably use the adduction/abduction machine, the hamstring curls or if you can't do the hamstring curls...you can do straight leg deadlifts. for the glutes...the butt blaster is good. too bad for the knee injury though. you really ought to check with a physical therapist though, or your doctor before doing these exercises. :) my two cents though

thingis more than likly, to rehab. a hurt knee, they will have you doing some sort of light squat, and leg presses. Unless surgery is needed, then they may have you on bands or somthing liek that. But I promise you you can do a squat even if its just your body weight lol
