I began my 2nd week of my FT program yesterday. I also had my husband retake my measurements. I think from now on that will be more accurate than me trying to hold the tape in place while reading the numbers because some of the numbers were changed that I don't think normally change in a person's physique!

Starting Weight- 145 lbs July 13, 2004 Weight- 142.6

WOOHOO!!!! Only 15.9 lbs. left to lose!

Bust- 36 (Luckily, it stayed the same. For now at least.)

Waist- 30 (Down a half inch)

Abdomen- 35 (Down 1 1/2 inches)

Hip- 40 (Up a 1/2 inch)

Right Thigh- 24 1/2 (Up 3/4 an inch)

Calf- 14 (Stayed the same)

Ankle- 8 (Down 3/4 an inch. This is one area that I believe I just measured wrong the first time because it won't change or will it?)

Wrist- 6 3/16 (Same)

Body Fat- According to mybodycomp.com, it's increased .97.

According to biofitness.com, there's a 4% discrepancy which shows my body fat percentage lower. Thankfully, I realize that these are all only tools to get an idea and not as accurate as other forms, such as the water technique. Otherwise, I'd be quite depressed to say the least!! :)

During the first few weeks most people get frustrated because they build a little muscle which pushes the overlying fat out a bit and they actually get bigger. To lose inches the first couple of weeks is fantastic. Pat yourself on the back.

in a few weeks you can show your husband newfound biceps. My wife is so proud of hers. Congrats.

Woo hoo!! See it's workin :)Don't worry about the increase in some of your measurements, that can frighten some people away from weights. Give it some time and they will go down!

Thanks t-babe and damselfly!!! :)

I'll definitely keep giving it some time because I want SLEEK legs!!! That area will probably be the last place for me to lose and notice changes. So, I've got to keep at it!!

Here's a funny story. One of yesterday's calf exercises was the donkey calf raise, but I don't have that type of machine here. Well, since we're building a house I knew there were scraps of wood. I went and got a few blocks to use to do the exercise. Would that be considered dedication or what?
