This is my first time posting here, but I've seen some people here do martial arts, so any advice would be appreciated.

I'm a volunteer instructor at the school I go to. I go there twice a week usually, help teach a class, then take a class. I also go to the gym three days a week.

My problem is, I've noticed a loss in flexibility, especially in my legs. I changed my lower body routine recently. I'm not concerned with adding size, but more concerned with building stamina. I will probably be testing for my black belt in a little over a year, so endurance and flexibility are important.

My question is, can anyone recommend a good lowerbody routine to achieve this. Realistically, I'll be working lower once a week, but also doing cardio on the my two upper days as well. Also, any recommendations on stretching?

Thanks.

do horse stances (a martial art tech) my husband is an instructor and his legs are solid. he does a low 7 minute horse stance daily. his speed is up the size is up and his flexibility is outstanding

horse stance- have ur legs a little more than shoulder length apart and lower ur body keeping ur back perfectly straight. and do nor raise up!!! try doing it for 30 sec then build it up. ur abs will get stronger too

Yeah, I do horse stance, but not frequently enough. I need to change that.

Do you know of any particular lower body stretches that he does that helped him improve his flexibility?
