i play the guitar, and just lately i've started to get really bad hand cramps whilst playing bar chords, if you don't know what that is it doesnt matter. do you reckon i've sprained my hand from just pressing down some strings. it is really starting to annoy me now cos its stopping me from playing.
do i need to warm my hand up before playing or what?
any response appreciated as this is actually getting me down.

pritchard I know what you are going thru. I play guitar and bass. I have some wrist issue and hand problems from it. The best thing to do is to shake your hands a few times then run thru some scales before you practice. This will help to loosen up your fingers and help prevent tendinitis. Also I have found that a good slick thin neck helps. Thats Why I got rid og my les paul and my explorer and went to ibanez gear.
