Extra Calories or Less Calories

Hi, I'm trying to put on some muscle while burning off extra fat over my muscles. Im 5 feet 11 175 pounds. Should I be trying to eat more or less calories?

It's difficult to gain muscle and lose fat at the same time, but not impossible.
If you're not looking to gain or lose weight then workout how many calories you're eating at the moment and monitor what your weight does for a week or two.
If you lose weight increase your cals by 250/day
If you gain weight then decrease your cals by 250/day
This will work unless you're severely restricting your intake - how many calories are you eating at the moment?

I never really monitor my calories. Im probably eating around 2200.
