Any chance of changing to brown or wild rice?

I have read that one serving size of rice is 1/2 cup. Could you still eat your rice, but have your 1/2 cup for lunch and dinner and then eat something higher in protein along with it so you are getting both your rice, with less calories and ? The rice is very high in carbs, one cup is over 53 grams and is actually considered a "bad" carb as they like to say and is digested very quickly, often leaving you hungry very soon after. Could you change to a brown rice, two cups cooked brown rice is 300 Calories, 66gr.Carbs and 8 gr. Protein. Just some thoughts that may help. Good luck to you!

how about eating beans and rice together (more of a latin food than asian, but yummy). I read somewhere that the combo provides a complete protein, although I'm not sure. It will sure have more protein and fibre than regular old white rice. Oh and lentils and rice are pretty yummy too.
