Anyone use a digital bodyfat scale? I have one that I can't seem to get a reading out of and I wonder if I'm using it wrong?

the digital ones are rather inaccurate.
I don't know what kind you have. Did it come with a manual? Is the battery in right, is the battery dead? Have you removed the plastic slipcovers from the handles (if it had them)? Is there an 'on' switch on the back or something?

Duh! I replaced the battery and voila!
But you say the digital ones are inaccurate? This one says my bodyfat is 29%, using a measuring tape and a formula on davedraper.com I get 26.69%.

digital body comp can change depending on many factors, because it works by bioelectrical impedance. Fluid levels, high degree of muscularity, smoking, eating, mnay things can effect the reading.
But - as long as you do it at the same time of day and under the same conditions, you may be able to get an accurate enough reading to track it as it goes down (to see a change, is what i mean).
