I joined a new gym( golds) they built a new senter out where I live, go a good deal on 18 months. But back to the point......the 45lb plats are a lil smaller about 3 in in diameter smaller. SO on deadlifts, the bar is 3 in lower, thought it wouldn't be that big a differance......well it was lol. Funny how 3 ins makes up for a lot. But I Know it wil actually make me better, so my shoot for 500 which I predicted by next week, might not be till the end of june.......but I will adapt like my body is good at.
Another thing to thats weird, is the smith machine I use now, is different some how, I think the counter balance is different makes it heavier than what i'm used to. So my military of 280 won't be as soon as I like.
BUT IT WILL COME, OH IT WILL COME and SOON!

Excuses, Excuses... (just kidding). If the diameters of the new plates are 3" less, then the bar should only be 1.5" lower than before.

You'll adjust quickly. Hopefully this new place doesn't employ a bunch of geeks that tell you not to lift so much because it's distracting, like you had at the old place.

sharp as a tack. good catch. Yea, good luck with the new gym. I think I know what you're talking about with the smith machine. The one that is at my gym doesn't feel like there is much of a counterbalance to it. It almost feels like straight weight. I don't use it very often though.
