Hi,
I have read a lot about when to do cardio and when to do weights. They are saying that on a cardio and weight training day, you should do weights first, I get that, but really what is the best way as far as cardio and weight training go in order to the most effective? Keeping cardio and weight training separarte such as, if I'm going to do a cardio workout make it be only cardio and do my weights on another day or is it better to do cardio and weights on the same day?
It is all really confusing to me. Thanks for any feedback on this.
Other people will be able to give you some better advice, but I would make sure to lift before running because you will not have the energy needed to get a good workout in.
I do a few different ways depending on how much time I have. Sometimes I do weights and cardio on different days. Other times I will do weights in the morning and cardio at night. Other times I will do weights and then cardio. I am careful with the last because you have to make sure that you have enough nutrients in your body to handle the extra long training. I tend to try not to do both at the same time, but sometimes I feel like I need to add some cardio because I just have more in me.
That is just what I like to do, but others could and hopefully will give you a more scientific reason for things and possibly let me know that I am doing something wrong.
