I don't eat anything for at least 9 hours before lifting. I'm an 4:30 am starter and lift on an empty stomach. I use to get sick and thought because I wasn't eating but I was wrong it was because of Fat Burners and Lack of Water. My Post Cycle contains. 1 Cup Oatmeal, 8 Eggs, Flax Seed Oil, Protein Drink, and 2 Bananas. As far as pre cycle I lift on an empty stomach while sugar levels are low to burn fat for energy and not the food I consumed.

If i'm taking carbs then it is usually 45 minutes before my workout. On consuming fats i usually take them 1 1/2hrs before (fats take more time 2 digest).Usually I take up a 3 bananas,A cup of milk and some nuts.

hey bilk...I don't really agree with u on working out on an empty stomach...you've got to atleast have something before you get into the gym like a carb shake. Some guys do cardio on an empty stomach..thats alright, but when lifting you need more energy which you obvio. won't have after a 9 hour sleep...hope you get my point
I usually have an apple and 3 egg whites..something "carby" about 40 min before I get into the gym

Well, I guess it depends on your goals. Right Now strength is not my concern. I'm more after cosmetics at this point. But I agree if I where to start powerlifting again I would eat before my workouts. But for now I'm performing very well in the gym and I'm making outstanding gains. and Fat lose is unreal and not loosing any muscle been doing it for 5 mo. and every week I see gains. Now just so you know I eat a post workout meal and about 8 more times through out the day. I also eat carbs right before bed keeping me ready for morning. Like I said it's all depends on goals.

peanut butter sandwich ..... works for me ... I used to have yogurt + protein ...but I felt hungry at the time I got to the gym ..... the sandwich do the trick and gives me a lot of energy that lasts for longer period of time .....
