Hi everyone,

I just found this site and its great. I'm a new mother to a 10 month old baby girl named Zoë. I gained 40lbs in my pregnancy and at 2 weeks after her birth I was 5 lbs from my pre-pregnant weight but gained back all but 5 of those lbs.
I started out just changing some dietary things and have lost 10 lbs in the last month or so. I started at 285 and on Tuesday was down to 275. My goal is to get to 150-160 lbs.

Hi Zoesmama, I know how you feel, I have 3 children and im pretty much in the same boat.. I stopped drinking soda and eating white rice and working out..in 2 weeks I lost 10 pounds, Im born and raised in hawaii and EVERY family eats rice with EVERY meal.. I know how hard it is to STOP eating stuff that we grew up eating and its just routine but..if you haven't started any excercise routine.. a great thing to do is go walking.. put Zoe in her stroller and start walking, go to the park or even around the block, fast pace walking is great..there is a lot of people here that post a lot of great ideas and helpful hints, on work outs..Im new to this site and this is the first message that I have posted, I usually just look for information to help me...some people just need to know that others are in the same boat, and if I can help you or if you have or hear of any good work outs or fat loss recipes that would be awesome if you could share them with me...mahalo and goodluck...:)

Hi i am new to this site too.. I weigh 275 lbs. I am very unhappy with myself and really am wanting to lose weight. I have been overweight most of my life. It just got worse after having my children i have 3 children. I gained 60 lbs with my last 2 children and i want to lose it so badly. I am looking for excercise ideas to lose the weight could you please give me some ideas?

Hi ladies... well I can make a few suggestions;

1. work towards a healthier lifestyle ~ not a quick fix.
2. stop eating so much saturated fat (fried, geasy, ect.)
3. if you eat out fast foods- eat only grilled chicken, salads ect.
4. NO SODA! and drink at least 3/4 gal of water per day.
5. eat healthy foods~ brown rice, whole wheat breads, lean meats, fat free dairy...
6. Eat only your recommended calories per day...
7. Make sure your exercising 5 days a week...

It is said that diet is 75% of how our body looks...

Hi,
Hang in there. Cut back & eat healthily but you can still have things you like - just watch the portions & use the nutritional plant to help you. My friend I recently saw has just lost 9 stone. She's done it over a few years but has stuck to it (Rosemary Conley diet) and looks a different person. It's will power. Don't give in if you have a binge but just make up for it by being sensible the rest of the time. Hang in there & try to exercise e.g. walking, taking stairs, cycling, games with children etc. Stick to it & you'll see the rewards.

zoesmama, you have come to the right place. keep up with what works for you . Also read around ask question find someone that you think will help you out. In here you will find a lot af people that will help you out..good luk and welcome:big_smile::big_smile::big_smile:
