your (BB1) post said that a lean person should never work out on an empty stomache..
i am a pretty lean (H 5'7, W 146lbs) and am relatively new to the weight training schedule. I have been trying to loose the flab around the mid secion/obliques. So i have also tried to do cardio on an empty stomach as i have read in so many places. But ofcourse that hasnt worked, and since i have also tried to build muscle mass at the same time by weight training, i dont see that much of an improvement.
So my questions are basically
1. I work out after work, which is 5-6 hours after my lunch. So i am almost on an empty stomach then. What can i eat before working out? What is recommended? WHat is not?
2. Similary what can i/is recommended to eat after working out. I have been having the proverbial protein shake after working out before....
