Well....leg workout is all about being in control and in command. If you r a beginner then first findout your capacity and you dont need to go very heavy....but if you r an advanced builder then you can always have a little challenge with weights. Know that legs respond to weights and not reps.Try and consentrate on increasing weights with sets of a certain exercise.Start off with medium weights and go off to heavy. But dont go so heavy that you lose control. Use the belt and straps....its very important.

personally i and against both. i feel as that if you need a belt then you technique is way off. Straps too... try lightening up the wieght and get your technique down. Once you got that down then progress with increases in weight as you feel comfortable.....if you need a belt of straps to get heavy weights then its too heavy.....unless you have had an injury, and i'm asuming that you have not. techniquic is what always seems to give me the best gains.

Hi jpcorrao, I never use straps or belts and I have a very bad back. I'm like Spedward, If you use good technique you shouldn't need them, unless your going for an olypic lifter.
