Hi Krystal, I would say with that caloric intake, you should lose lbs. But if your body gets use to the same work out, try to change it up. Try to stop running and start lifting. I know running is addictive especailly when you acheive that runners high were you want to stop but your body just say "give me more." Try the weights and a routine that keeps you moving. I didn't know this, but just learned that you actually burn more calories lifting than you do running.

I didnt know that about lifting either......and last week i dscovered the "running high" you talked about...lol....ive had this elliptical trainer since christmas and am just now getting serious on it....i dont currently have weight but would a stretch resistance band work....i've got one coming from avon this week and i thought that might help....as far as my daily calories this is what i normally intake its not a diet i have to keep my calories lower b/c im prone to easy weight gain and im used to the portions i eat so i stay there...and with weights and lifting its quality not quantity right? Thanx again kittle

You are absolutely right, the proper form and the right technique. It is all about the the technique to get best results. I know friends that have the stretch resistant machines. They work as long as you keep your targeted muscle tight and rememder to SQUEEZE at the top and hold it a quick sec., and the elbow to shoulder ratio. You don't always have to go all the way up and all the way down. Rest about 30 seconds between sets. 3 to 4 sets should do it per body part and try to target 2 major muscle groups. This site can help you with proper form and technique and give you some good routine ideas. I wish you the best.
OH,
by the way my name is Eddie I live in Austin Texas, it is really nice to meet you.
I hope this helps and keep me posted on your progress. And just out of curiosity what other kind of music do you like to work out to. My preference in anything with and good dance beat. Any type of club mix fast pace, hard bass and cool rythms and Hip Hop. But I also love the chili peppers.
