Hi
Got a long one here...
Yep another new guy.. Ive just started a training programme at our local gym, i need to know what you think of it. First of all im 81kg (178 lbs) and im 6ft1, i got a fat test done at the gym and im 22% so im a bit overwight, only around the stomach though. I basically just want to lose the weight, gain a 6 pack and put on what ever muscle i can at the same time. Im not that fit at the momment but im doing a vigourous training programme which consists of the following. I goto the gym everyday and do 30 mins cardio, 15 mins on the rower going quite hard (get 2.1 miles in 15 minutes) and then jump on the bike straight after for 15 minutes in which i get 3.4 miles, yep quite sweaty after all that. I then jump on the ab rack and do a decent workout.
3 times a week i do a weights programme which a personal trainer put together, do bench press, curls, shoulder press, pec deck, tricep ext, lateral pull etc.
Im taking multivitamins and a product called tyroxyn (http://www.kiwifitness.com/metaphysics_fat_loss_supplements.php) to help. My diet is adequate, i dont eat fast food, i eat fruit and vege everyday along with meat..
What do u think of my programme? any ideas on making it better, do u think i will acheive my goals of loosing this weight in 3 months and once the fat is gone what sort of abs would i be looking at considering im working them everyday? oh yeah i also plan to do a longer cardio session daily, just need to get fitter first, either drag the cycle and row out longer or add another machine to the mix (cross country ski thing..) What is the best cardio machine by the way? rower or treadmill, both just about kill me after 15 mins..
I just signed up for the 12 week ab plan, the first week has u training for 2 days? is my ab training to intensive doing it everyday? i want good results!

More is not always better.......You ned rest to repair muscles......rest is what builds muscles not the actual working out part. If your doing cardio everyday, that cans till be concidered" weight training" cause those machines do have resistance to them...........i wouldn't wanna do squats every single day.......your legs take a pounding give them some rest.
abbs have more endurance than most muscle except for calves. They should not be trained everyday as well, they need rest as well. Do you do abs before weight traing or after?
how many meals a day you eat?
wahts your caloric intake?
-------------- .......adversity causes some to break, but others to break records!
......minds are not vessles to be filled, but fires to be enlightened

Well im only eating about 4 times a day, id like to eat more often smaller meals but i cant really fit it in with my job at the momment.. I dont know what my calorie intake is either, i guess i should sort that out.. (i dont think it would be extremely high though) I do the ab workout after training everything else but b4 cardio, im no longer doing it daily i will do it 3-4 times a week.
Im losing weight and getting some good results all ready which is awesome, ive only been doing my programme for 2 & 1/2 weeks and i can already see a difference in my b4 photos and now. As for squats they arnt in my programme, should they be?
Thanks
