Yes, literaly.:)

I have done something to the upper part of my right butt cheek. I can't feel a knot in the muscle from the outside but it has a deep achey kind of hurt like the trigger points that I have in my shoulders.

Before I go calling the massage therapist, I thought I would try some more stretching. I have tried lying on my back and pulling my knee over but it doesn't seem to be helping much.

What others can I do?

roll on a tennis ball (on the floor under your hip) hurts like a sumbich, but it works.
Have you ever had sciatic nerve pain?

Ok, I'll try that too....I have had lots of problems in my hips since childbirth, but the sciatic nerve specifically, I don't know.

Sciatica usually runs down the leg and either ends in behind the knee or sometimes runs into the calf. If it is a localized (pin point) pain, probably not sciatica.

try some deep heat or ibuprofen creme, although if it is sciatica then it won't work
