I woke up this morning intending to take my bike out on some trails this afternoon after my workout. I got everything set up yesterday for my trip, I even set my alarm (something I WON'T do on my day off). So this morning I wake up to 3"inches of snow and it's still snowing!!!

(I won't even get started on how USELESS the weather people in this city are, that's another ENORMOUS issue with me. No message board could hold that rant!!)

Anyway, the biking is now out of the question. But now, I don't even feel like going anywhere or doing anything. I HATE THIS! It seems like everytime time I start down the path of a good intentions, I get horribly side tracked and loose all motivation and practically give up. Then I'll feel guilty about it for a few days and try to start all over again.

So tell me folks, what motivates you all? What keeps you going day after day and pushes you to get to the gym?

It's tough to try to keep up any sort of motivation when you're all alone. I literally have no friends or family here, and my b/f is lives 900 mi. away. So getting any sort of outside help is virtually impossible. I'm trying to stay focused on the big picture, but it keeps getting all fuzzy.

HELP:(

I guess i am not much help - Everytime it snows again i want to crawl back in bed and not come out until summer.

Don't think of it as side tracked, just a detour.
If you fall down seven times, get up eight times.

Sorry i am not much help today.

What motivates me? I think about how many times I have been so close to what I want, then it gets hard, then I give up. THen I get bitter. I too have no support. THough I do have my husband encouraging me but not helping himself. My closest friend is 600 miles away.

Being the pessimist I am I just think about how many times I almost had it, or got it, or lost it(weight). Then I realize that everytime I missed out on something it's because I caved in. Oh yeah, I always have good reasons(excuses) to quit so it seems logical.

Maybe what motivates me is that I am sick and tired of not having what I want. Especially when I am the one who controls whether I get it or not. Such as a healthy lifestyle and sexy body. I do it for ME! OMG for once, think about your self instead of everyone/everything else. Im learning that thinking about myself actually feels good.:love:

So do some jumping jacks in the living room today and don't go anywhere. It'll get better. I've been there, I know.:)
