i know youre supposed to do cardio first thing in the morning because something about the fasting during the night and all that yada yada yada...i cant do this because of school and i already get up at quarter after 6 just to get there on time so i was wondering if cardio would have the same effect if all i had for breakfast was a piece of toast and didnt eat lunch (or mabye half a sandwich) would this be as effective as doing cardio first thing in the morning? I usually do cardio at around 4. 1 more question, with hiit your baseline is supposed to rise after, correct? would it make a difference asto how many calories burned if i was doing stuff afterwards as opposed to vegging out in front of the tv?

I don't know if it really matters as to the time of the day for your cardio... everyone is different... some say cardio in the morning to give them the energy through the day, others do theirs in the afternoon or evening. If you do it later at night, you'll wanna try and get it done about an hour and a half to two hours before bed...

I believe you want to vary it anyway.. the body gets to know your routine and if at 6:00 every morning you are doing some cardio, the body will figure it out and make itself more efficient, therefore burning less calories... changing your routine is a good thing...

Not sure I understand the second part of your question...

sorry i meant if to ask if it was better to keep active (i.e. go for a walk) after youre done cardio or if it was okay if you didnt do anything after for the rest of the day.

Gotcha.... I think once you do your cool down it's fine to sit and relax... or, if you choose.. go for a walk... I don't think it's a problem to remain active for the rest of the day, but you also have to give yourself time to just veg out for a while... good for the mental health too...
